A scrapbook compiled by Captain Hugh M. Dougherty of the Kansas City Police Department. Items relevant to the history of the department and his career are included. Born in 1875, Dougherty was hired by the KCPD in 1917. In 1932, he was made commander of the Sheffield Police Station. In addition to his career, photographs and clippings from his work with Boy Scouts Troop 177 and the KCPD Junior Patrol are included. Dougherty retired in 1940 and passed away in 1946.
