| Abstract | A reprint from "The Times", Pleasant Hill, Mo., May 8, 1936. Maria Moore came to Jackson County, Missouri as one of the slaves of Jabez Smith. She was later sold to Tom Thomas of Pleasant Hill and spent the rest of her life there. At the time of death her exact age was unknown, but she was close to 100 years old. |
