TitleBrighter Outlook at Union Station
Extended Title"Dinosaurs Unearthed" exhibit boosts revenue and Science City, station memberships show improvement.
Abstract"The balance sheet as of the end of October showed a positive cash flow of more than $1.5 million and pointed to a robust end-of-the-year surplus – a first for the station that only managed to break even once, the year the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit was there." Helping in this turnaround has been the "benefit of rents from about 72,000 square feet of new leases to the Internal Revenue Service, the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, the Kansas City Board of Election Commissioners and other tenants."
