| Notes | Sam's Town, opening in 1995, was one of the early casinos built in the Kansas City area after Missouri voters approved gambling. It did not stay in operation very long and closed in 1998, being the first Missouri casino to do so. Part of the casino actually was afloat on the Missouri River. |
