| Description | Christmas Postcard |
| Historical Article | The artist who designed this 1909 Christmas post card was no doubt inspired by the discovery of the North Pole by Commander Robert E. Peary April 7, 1909.
From Indian harbor, which was reached on September 5, 1909, Peary sent this message: Stars and Stripes nailed to the North Pole.
The old Santa pictured with his mittened hand in salute seems to have paused at the historic spot before setting off to deliver toys to good children all over the world.
