Kansas City's skyline is featured on a post card published in color by Hall Brothers and mailed from Kansas City Aug. 29, 1924, to Miss Nina Koenigsberg in San Antonio, Texas. The printed legend on the reverse side of the card reads: This view shows the skyline of the city as it looks today. Some of the largest skyscrapers shown are the Kansas City Club, Kansas City Athletic Club, Federal Reserve Building and the Telephone Building. The aerial view was taken looking north. Large store signs discernible along Main Street are those of the Jones Store; Duff & Repp (furniture); Vincent Hair, Dolls & Wigs; Hotel Main, and Warren D. House Patents, Models, Dies, Machine Shop. A Globe Theater sign on Walnut reads; Vaudeville, 10 cents, and in the distant background on Grand is the rooftop sign Schmelzers Arms (athletic and sporting goods).
