Oregon Trail Memorial Association

Description: Framed (11.5 in. x 15.5 in.) award certificate which reads: "In Recognition of Distinguished Help and Service to the Cause of Preserving Our Western Trails and the Traditions of Our American Pioneers, Kansas City Public Library, is Awarded Life Membership in the Oregon Trail Memorial Association and Its Successor American Pioneer Trails Association." The document is signed by Henry G. Hillier, Secretary, and Howard R. Driggs, President. Includes a color tinted map showing the various trails west. Lower part shows a wagon train image. Includes the organization's seal and two medallion images, one representing the Pony Express and one the Oregon Trail. Presented in 1960 according to letter attached to the back.
