Perry Grinter

Description: Biographical sketch of Perry Grinter, also known as P. N. Grinter, a farmer born in Kentucky in 1820 and coming to Jackson County, Missouri, in 1849, staying in Independence during Order Number 11 of the Civil War. Description of his son, Percifer Grinter, "the honored mayor of Independence." Also description of Perry's grandfather, John Grinter I, a Revolutionary War veteran and native of Virginia moving to Kentucky.
