Photograph of the Boys Hotel building at 1601 Admiral Boulevard in the 1980s. The Boys Hotel served as a group residence for homeless, orphaned, and troubled young men in this facility built in 1911 (with a 1922 addition), until it was closed during the Depression. It reopened as Boys Club, a youth recreation center operated by the Community Chest, which operated from 1935 to 1960, when the facility became the headquarters of City Union Mission. City Union missing relocated in 1977, and the building was demolished in 1989.
