Corps of Discovery Sculpture

The bronze statue entitled "Corps of Discovery" is located in Case Park at 8th and Jefferson streets in Kansas City, Missouri. Sculpted by Eugene Daub, the Lewis and Clark statue, commemorating the Lewis and Clark expedition, is 18 feet tall and 21 feet wide. The five figures are Lewis, Clark, Sacagawea, York, and Seaman, Lewis' dog. It was dedicated April 20, 2000. A replica of the sculpture can be seen in the Missouri Valley Room of the Kansas City Public Library.

Map of the state of Missouri contains a variety of geologic information, including predominant rocks and minerals at depths and locations across the state and a cross section of rock distribution and altitude of the state at Jefferson City. Also included in insets are locations of earthquake epicenters in southeast Missouri between 1973 and 1999, glacial drainage and valley patterns in northwest Missouri, and tectonic and volcanic or other impact deformations. Map includes county divisions, some locality names, and is subdivided into quadrangles used for geologic mapping by the state.
