Fort Sill in Oklahoma was the site of the first military execution of a United States Army man in Oklahoma in World War II. His name was Harry Ralph Bever who was a gangster born in Millgrove, Missouri. After deserting the Army in 1942 he joined up with Samuel Ricketts and William Radkay from the Kansas City area and commited a number of crimes across the country.
