Photo and biographical article about John Hanna, "the leading engineer in Kansas City," born in Nebraska in 1864 and coming to Kansas City in 1869 with his father, Thomas Hanna. Description of his career, moving away after his civil engineering education and returning here in 1906 as chief engineer of the Kansas City Terminal Railway Company, "engaged on construction of new Kansas City Union Station, together with the tracks, viaducts, and yards which go to make up the Terminal project as a whole."
