First Covenant Evangelical Church at 1501 W. 42nd Street was established in 1887 as a Swedish Evangelical Misdsion Church. By 1992, when Pastor Kevin David arrived, its membership had dwindled. Today, the building has been refurbished, membership is up, and a variety of community programs are based in the Church.
