The card states that the murals were created by artist Edward Holslag. The mural shows a line of covered wagons preparing to cross a stream on the trail. The reverse side of the card reads: "Around the walls of the Savoy Grill are twelve famous murals by Edward Holslag illustrating the pioneers' hazardous trek along the Santa Fe Trail from Westport Landing to New Mexico.
