Title: Southwell Building

The building was designed by architects McKecknie and Trask and opened in 1929. Recycled Sounds, The Futon Company, and Metcalfe Key are among the ground-floor tenants, with Harling's Upstairs Bar and Grill occupying the second floor.

Title: The New Stanley
Description: Photograph of The New Stanley bar and restaurant at 501 Westport Road circa 1980, as well as a view of Pennsylvania Avenue looking southeast from Westport Road. The restaurant and bar opened in 1975 in the building that was the former Doerschuk pharmacy. An establishment called the Old Stanley opened in 1987 under new ownership in the space after the New Stanley closed in 1985.
