Photograph of the Westport Bank building at the southeast corner of Westport Road and Broadway circa 1980. The bank originally opened in this location in 1906, and in 1978, the building underwent a $300,000 renovation aimed at creating a contemporary version of the building's original facade. The building was torn down in July 2018 for a mixed-use development project.

Ground floor tenants include Baber's Classic Cup at 433 Westport and Natural Wear, a clothing store, and Earth Shoe outlet, at 435 Westport. The Westport Square development united the buildings on the block bound by Westport Road, Archibald Street, Broadway, and Pennsylvania Avenue into a shopping and dining center with a central courtyard in 1973.

Photograph of the Montrose Apartments building at the corner of 40th and Main Streets in the early 1980s, looking east from the intersection of Westport Road and Main. The building was designed by Shepard & Wiser and built in 1923. It was demolished in early 1998 and the site used for a parking lot. St. Paul's Episcopal Church stands to the south, across 40th Street.

Photograph of the intersection of Westport Road and Pennsylvania Avenue circa 1923. Wiedenmann Brothers Grocery Store, at 500 Westport Road, can be seen on the northwest corner of the intersection, and Doerschuk's Prescription Drug Store, at 501 Westport, is on the southwest corner. Signs reading "Mogul Overalls" hang on the building at 433 Westport, on the southeast corner, which was the home to Klein's clothing store. The northeast corner, a vacant lot at the time of the photo, was the original location of the pre-Civil War Harris-Kearney House, a hotel and later a private home, which was moved to a location several blocks away in 1922. It was replaced by a commercial building shortly thereafter.
