Nomination form for the National Register of Historic Places with history, photos, illustrations, and map of residential structures designed by Mary Rockwell Hook, or Mary Hook (1877-1978) between 47th, Ward, 55th, and Main Streets, all built "on inclined terrain" in the Sunset Hill residential district, from 1908 to 1927. Information on her other structures as well, including the residence built in 1925-1927 at 13001 Little Blue Road in Jackson County and description of Hook as one of "[o]nly five women architects. ..working in Kansas City from c. 1910 to 1930" and the only one of them "gain[ing] any measure of public recognition."

File containing a National Register of Historic Places nomination form for the Athenaeum Club, "the oldest [surviving] women's club in Kansas City, dating from 1894" with its own building constructed in 1915 at 900 East Linwood Boulevard. Biographical sketch (on page 6) of its architect, Samuel Tarbet (ca. 1871-1945), designer of "a wide variety of buildings" in Kansas City starting in 1906 including "the Olathe, Kansas, City Hall in 1910; the Robert Sutherland residence at 410 Gladstone in 1913; and the Graphic Arts Building at 934 Wyandotte in 1917."
