Postcard image and short article about the Chace Public School and its namesake, former Kansas City mayor Charles A. Chace. Built in 1880, the school was located on Paseo Blvd. between 15th and 16th streets. It was razed in 1913 and is now the site of the Interstate-70 and Paseo interchange.

Chapter of the book about Charles A. Chace, or Charles Chace (1835-1900), a mayor of Kansas City in 1877, arriving in the city in 1867 as an agent for the Hannibal & Saint Joseph Railroad, with a flour and feed business in 1878 at 1306 Grand Avenue. The Sheridan Hotel on West 5th Street was built by him, and the Chace School at 14th and Paseo Boulevard was named for him.
