Article tells the story of the integration of Loretto Academy in September 1947. The first black student was Carmen Forte, stepdaughter at the time of Judge Lewis Clymer. Carmen went on to graduate from Loretto in 1949 and later was associated with the family that founded Carter Broadcasting Company which operates KPRS and "hot 103 Jams" radio stations.
