Full body view of Clarence Russell (Russ) Stout, member of the Coon-Sanders Nighthawks. Location of photograph not given, but was probably taken while on tour. According to Edmiston's book, p. 331 - Stout "was born in Fremont, Ohio, and later lived in Fond du Lac, Wisc. He was the last, and best known, banjoist-guitarist with Coon-Sanders." He eventually moved to Florida and died July 21, 1968, after being injured by his lawn mower.
