One of a series of articles intended to bring recognition of the early French influence in Clay County, Missouri. Includes typed redaction of a serial novel, "A tale of Rush Creek", by Edward Curtis (son of Cyrus) together with an analysis by Kevin Fisher. Novel was serialized in the Liberty "Tribune" in 1847.
