The DeLaSalle High School, a private alternative institution for students who have difficulty in traditional classroom settings, was given clearance by the Missouri's Board of Education to operate as a charter school beginning next school year. The charter places the school in "competition" with Kansas City School District schools. DeLaSalle had a contract with the school district to teach some of their students.
