She is remembered as the "daughter" of the 90th infantry division in Germany in World War I and as a concert singer in old Convention Hall in Kansas City as well as the Hotel de Pavillon and the Palais de Glace theater in Paris. She performed for doughboys throughout the German countryside and on troop ships, as well as singing for prisoners at Fort Leavenworth and Lansing.

The local music community is mourning the death of singer/songwriter Abigail Hope Henderson. During her music career Henderson performed with bands such as Trouble Junction, the Gas Lights, and Atlantic Fadeout. After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2008, Henderson and her husband formed the Midwest Music Foundation, which assists local musicians in dealing with health care issues.
