Article about the "Benton Boulevard Gateway" in the St. John Corridor Infrastructure and Land Use Plan. Federal money has been applied for to develop the Benton/St. John intersection where the stone marker bearing tribute to Thomas Hart Benton sits. "Planners aim to improve the 'geometrics' of the intersection, incorporate pedestrian elements and also create some kind of gateway feature that would signal the entrance to the St. John Corridor, the KC Museum and the Cliff Drive Scenic Byway."
