Maurice Frank Jones died February 3, 2010. A Southwest High School graduate, Jones worked in the advertising business, co-founding the firm of Selders-Jones-Covington in1950 and Jones & Hanger, Inc., in 1955, which later merged with Brewer Advertising. He left the adveritising business to develop Bon Appetit Magazine, "where he was sole owner, editor, and publisher until 1970, when Bon Appetit was merged into The Pillsbury Company as a separate operating division based in Kansas City. The merger also included Bon Voyage Magazine, a sister publication in the travel field, which Jones started in 1968." The magazines were sold in 1975 to the publisher of Architectural Digest, and Jones joined as Editor-in-Chief.
