A statue of former Mayor Illus "Ike" Davis is to be dedicated on November 12, 2004. The statue is located in the Civic Mall area called Ilus W. Davis Park between City Hall and the federal courthouse. It was designed by California artist Bruce Wolfe. The statue cost $350,000, funded by private donations. The sculpture is 9 feet tall and is mounted on a 4-foot base.
