Story of the north frieze sculpture on the Liberty Memorial. The memorial's designer H. Van Buren Magonigle wanted his wife Edith's design to be used but apparently the Liberty Memorial Association thought differently. Sculptor Edmund Amateis was chosen to design and carve the frieze.
