The "Postcards of Historic Northeast" column features the Municipal Airport in this issue. Picture includes the airport and a TWA DC-2 airplane. An account of the dedication of the airport and the visit of Charles Lindbergh is included with the text. "The TWA brand was actually born in 1930 when Western Air Express merged with Transcontinental Air Transport to form Transcontinental & Western Air. When Transcontinental & Western inaugurated international service in the 1940s, the name was changed to Trans World Airlines."

The vertical files in this collection were formerly a part of the department's regular vertical files.
