Article on the dispute over the the area from 26th to 27th Streets between Brooklyn and Prospect Avenues that will be razed for the new Police Department East Patrol station and crime lab. The majority of the homeowners have accepted city offers for their property and are beginning to move out, but a few residents continue to reject the offers and might force the matter to go to court. The tract was chosen because of its location and affordability. Almost half of the area already consisted of vacant lots or buildings.
