Information about Lloyd Crow Stark, or Lloyd Stark (1886-1972), governor of Missouri in the 1930s (involved in the removal from power of Boss Tom Pendergast), War War I veteran, manager of the Stark Nurseries, and president of the American Association of Nurserymen in the 1910s. Native of Louisiana, Missouri dying in Clayton, Missouri (in Saint Louis County, Missouri). Also information on his grandfather James Hart Stark, or James Stark (1792-1880), a native of Kentucky serving in the War of 1812 and moving to Pike County, Missouri in 1816 as a nursery founder and pioneer apple grower.
