News article about a public congratulation of an anti-discriminatory policy of "the United Packinghouse Workers of America, CIO" (or UPWA-CIO) labor union by Ralph Bunche, "famed United Nations mediator and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize." The UPWA-CIO union at the time of the compliment by Bunche was "organizing Kansas City Swift workers into its union." A booklet titled "Action Against Jim Crow" was also published by the union to accompany the policy, and it was distributed to Kansas City Swift workers.

Edges of card are embossed. Card has some damage. Back of card says: "Wool Soap for Toilet and Bath. There are many people who suppose that, because of its name, Wool Soap is intended for washing woolens only. This is a misconception which Swift and Company are especially desirous of rectifying. Wool Soap is pre-eminently a toilet and bath soap .."." We are large producers of prime tallow, and none but our most carefully selected stock enters into the manufacture of Wool Soap .."." Swift and Company Packing Plants at Chicago, Kansas City, Omaha, St. Louis, St. Joseph, St. Paul. Over Two Hundred and Fifty Branch Houses in the United States."
