Included is a newspaper article (13 x 17 in.) plus photocopy, concerning Bingham's speculation in mining operations and resultant legal problems. Dated on back: Nov. 4, 1890. Newspaper is not identified, but may be the Kansas City Times. Rollins Bingham was the son of artist George Caleb Bingham. He died of pneumonia on December 30, 1910, in Kansas City's General Hospital and is buried in Mt. Washington Cemetery. (Printed online copy of his Missouri death certificate is with item.)
