Facsimile of 1698 map depicting Father Louis Hennepin's impressions of the shape and layout of the eastern half of the North American continent. Pictorial elements such as mountains, forests, and habitations are included, as well as drawings of the Great Lakes and other bodies of water. Also included printed on map: "Dedicated to his Ma.ty William III King of Great Britain by Father Lewis [sic] Hennepin, Missionary Recollect and Apostolic Notary."
