Portrait of David Buckner Willock IV, a 1st Lt. in the U. S. Army Air Corps. Wilcock was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on May 11, 1923, to David Buckner Willock and Myra A. Willock. He enlisted on January 26, 1942, as an air cadet and died on May 10, 1944, while on a mission in the Pacific. He was awarded four medals, four Presidential Citations, eighteen Oak Leaf Clusters, and the Purple Heart.
