The entrance to Electric Park, the park with a thousand lights, was at 46th and the Paseo. Inside the gates were swimming, boating, roller coaster rides, daily band concerts by nationally known musicians, such as Phillip Sousa, and elaborate fireworks displays. Streetcar fare was 5 cents, a ticket to the park 10 cents. Kansas City Times, June 29, 1979.
