Indian faces such as these were not an uncommon sight in Kansas City, Kansas, during the early 1900s, especially during fall pow-wows held near the old Huron burial grounds on downtown Minnesota Avenue, between 6th and 7th. The photo post card shows two unidentified mothers with their children and is from the unusual and interesting 1914 post card collection of Mrs. Minnie Kakaqua of Mayetta, Jackson County, Kansas.
