Portrait of Reubeen E. Corbin, Jr., a 1st Lt. with the U. S. Amy Air Corps. Corbin was born in Thatcher, Colorado, on April 13, 1921, and moved to Kansas City in 1928. He enlisted in September of 1942, and, after earning his wings, was stationed in northern France at Cambrai. He was killed in a mid air collision on February 25, 1945. He was awarded the Air Medal, three Oak Leaf Clusters, and the Purple Heart.
