A collection of 152 pages of photocopied newspaper articles from the Kansas City Star and Kansas City Times detailing the murder of Leila Adele Welsh and the subsequent investigation of that crime. Twenty-four-year old Leila Welsh was a student at the University of Kansas City and lived at 6107 Rockhill Road with her mother and brother, George Welsh, Jr. She was found brutally murdered at home in her bed on March 9, 1941. Police suspected and arrested her brother, and he was tried and found not guilty of the crime. The case remains unsolved. Each article is annotated with its source and date of publication.
