Includes a 1941 publication of the Missouri State Department of Education entitled A Suggestive Outline for the Study of the Negro in History, as well as a copy of a 1928 letter to Kansas City Librarian Purd B. Wright from Carter G. Woodson. Woodson was the founder of the Journal of Negro History (now known as the Journal of African-American History), as well as the initiator of Black History Month in the United States.
