Booklet about the rededication program and description of the memorial and people surrounded in its creation. Rededicated on November 10, 1961, with General Eisenhower as speaker and main address by former President Truman, in a Veterans Day ceremony at the memorial on Saturday, November 11, 1961. Ground broken for the memorial during the national convention on November 1, 1921, in the presence of world leaders, 16 governors, and more than 100,000 local residents. Present in 1921 were the following: Vice-President Coolidge, Marshall Ferdinand Foch of France, generalissimo of the Allied Forces in World War I, General John J. Pershing, superintendent commander of the American Expeditionary forces in France, Admiral Lord Beatty of Great Britain, Lieutenant General Baron Jacques of Belgium, and General Armando Diaz of Italy.
