Aerial panoramic view looking west of the Kansas City stockyards in the West Bottoms taken from 500 ft. above 19th and Genesee streets. A note in the lower left hand corner notes that the photograph was taken using the Lawrence Captive Airship. The view stretches across the Kansas River and into Kansas City, Kansas. The Missouri River is in view on the right hand side of the image. The first Livestock Exchange Building at 16th Street and State Line Road can be seen.

Origin of the Christian Church at Westport

Paper read by the author "before the congregation of Hyde Park Christian Church of Westport, Mo., Sunday afternoon, November 25, 1906, at the celebration of the 69th anniversary of the founding of the Westport Chrisitan Church, now known as Hyde Park Christian Church." Origins and early history of the church, starting as a log building built about 1839 by Jacob Ragan at 3644 Holmes Street and donated to the Christian Church, with a brick church built about 1847 as the "Union church" at "Westport avenue and Central street."
