Promotional catalog for the American Poultry School. The school offered correspondence courses designed to teach income earning from poultry raising. Contains many articles and descriptions of individuals employed by the school, current and former students, and its operations. Included with the booklet are several supplementary brochures and handouts. The school's office was located at 115 E. 31st Street in Kansas City. It's experimental farm was located on 63rd Street in Raytown, Missouri.

The annex was built in 1958 to accommodate elementary students, and is linked to buildings east of Madison by a tunnel under the street. The Switzer/West campus closed permanently in 2006 and was sold for redevelopment as a residential property in 2015.

Public School District in 2010 as part of a consolidation strategy. It was reopened as Northeast Middle School in 2014.

The school building was constructed circa 1960 adjacent to the north of the church, and closed in 2010 due to declining enrollment.

Photograph of an auditorium entrance in the 1927 addition of Scarritt School at 2509 Anderson Avenue in the 1980s. Earlier sections of the school were built in 1890 and 1906, but later demolished, and an addition was made to the west side of the pictured building in 1960. The school was named for Reverend Nathan Scarritt, an early local minister and resident, and closed as part of a school district consolidation initiative in 2010.
