A 15 page photocopied typescript which is a biographical essay on the educational career and influences of early Jackson County teacher William Johnson (1863-1960), mentioning several early schools. Description of Johnson's life and career, born in Ohio and moving to Grundy County, Missouri, in 1866 and then to Hickman Mills, Missouri, in 1869, coming to Kansas City in 1908 and becoming a school principal in 1912. He was principal of Jackson School located at the southeast corner of 12th and Ewing Avenue as well as the Manchester School.
