Biographical sketch of August Meyer, "President of the United Chemical and Zinc Company" in Kansas City. Description of his life and career, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, in 1851 and gaining wealth as a mining investor in Colorado before coming to Kansas City in 1881. President of the Commercial Club in 1895-1896 and prominent promoter of the park and boulevard system, with offices in the Dwight building and resident at the southeast corner of 44th and Warwick Boulevards.
