The annex was built in 1958 to accommodate elementary students, and is linked to buildings east of Madison by a tunnel under the street. The Switzer/West campus closed permanently in 2006 and was sold for redevelopment as a residential property in 2015.

Smith, the junior high building and attached library opened in 1926 and were connected to the adjacent Switzer School by a bridge. The Switzer/West campus closed permanently in 2006 and was sold for redevelopment as a residential property in 2015.
