Photo and bio of Bruce Dodson, Sr. (1866-1926), "the creator of the reciprocal plan of insurance." He was born in Pennsylvania and moved to Saint Louis in 1872 and to Kansas City in 1890, becoming "assistant engineer in the Kansas City Water Department," then "receiver for the Argentine Water Works" before entering the insurance business. Short description also of his two sons, Bruce Dodson, Jr., and Ralph Dodson, both insurance attorneys.
