Facsimile of map showing "the first conception of property in the Toune of Manhattan, or New Amsterdam," with street names, plat owners, and some updating of names of streets by Henry Dunreath Tyler, the nineteenth-century publisher who reproduced the map. Stamped on bottom of map:"Old New York," followed by handwritten note, "250 years ago." Attached descriptive label at the bottom left indicates title as, "The 'Dutch Map,' 1642." Handwritten on the back in pencil, "Gift of R. N. Taintor."

The present capitalization is $500,000, which will be increased as the company develops its aims and purposes: to construct and operate switching facilities to lands it will develop in the east and southeast parts of the city and establish factories and industrial plants. ..It will furnish direct entrance to the new Union Station for four great systems: the Rock Island, Missouri Pacific, Frisco and Kansas City Southern. ..
