Facsimile of map showing "the first conception of property in the Toune of Manhattan, or New Amsterdam," with street names, plat owners, and some updating of names of streets by Henry Dunreath Tyler, the nineteenth-century publisher who reproduced the map. Stamped on bottom of map:"Old New York," followed by handwritten note, "250 years ago." Attached descriptive label at the bottom left indicates title as, "The 'Dutch Map,' 1642." Handwritten on the back in pencil, "Gift of R. N. Taintor."
