Mayor Kay Barnes proclaimed April 27, 2003, as Gertrude Keith Day, and in May 2003, the Parks and Recreation Commission named the library/resource center of the Bruce Watkins Cultural Heritage Center the Gertrude H. Keith Library in her honor.
