Mayer, Merkel and Ottmann, Lith. N.Y."4. An embossed calling card that says: "Edward Laughlin."5. Holly, a rose, and a bell on black background. Bell says: "Merry Christmas."6. Embossed card with flowers and a hand holding a locket.7. A man walking through a winter storm holding an umbrella. Card says: "A Merry Christmas. In spite of wind and weather."8. A card with text only advertising a vacation to Chicago during the World's Fair Exposition from "Missouri Valley World's Fair Transportation Co., Rooms 1011 and 1012 New York Life Building, F. O. Derr, Manager" for "$36.00, Payable 40 cents per week." 9. A man at a bar pouring from a bottle, but missing his glass. Card says: "A Whiskey Straight. Advertising card for Swift and Company showing a classically dressed woman in sandals, a diaphanous gown, and a fur cape. She has long blonde hair and is holding holly above her head. Edges of card are embossed. Card has some damage. Back of card says: "Wool Soap for Toilet and Bath. There are many people who suppose that, because of its name, Wool Soap is intended for washing woolens only. This is a misconception which Swift and Company are especially desirous of rectifying. Wool Soap is pre-eminently a toilet and bath soap .."." We are large producers of prime tallow, and none but our most carefully selected stock enters into the manufacture of Wool Soap .."." Swift and Company Packing Plants at Chicago, Kansas City, Omaha, St. Louis, St. Joseph, St. Paul. Over Two Hundred and Fifty Branch Houses in the United States." Activities include wading, eating an apple, and holding a baseball bat. Twenty-four of the cards have portraits of women on them. Sixteen of these are 4 cm. circles. The others are objects with a portrait on them including a horseshoe, bucket, slate, painting case, dustpan, palette, and two lights. In the middle of all these portraits of women is a large card cut in the shape of a black devil with red tongue and horns, standing in fire. One card is missing from the arrangement.
